Member of CLHS Mr. Wu, Jingjie just passed his doctoral oral defense on June 26 (Wed.) 2019 and his doctoral dissertation focused on the Qing Dynasty with the title:  "Law, Crime and Society: Magistrates' Understanding of Theft Cases in Late Qing Chongqing".  Let us congratulate Jingjie for getting the doctoral degree.

Prof. Chiu, Peng-shan, the current chief editor of Journal for Legal History Studies, is the directing professor of Jingjie at National Taiwan University, let us also give our thanks to Prof. Chiu for his great effort to nourish the younger scholars on the Chinese legal study field .
